To begin your swing training drills, identify the problem and position the TopperStopper accordingly. Topping, hooking and slicing can all result from errant swing paths or improper club head position upon takeaway, impact and follow-through.

Topping

Take Away

Topping occurs when the club head impacts a golf ball too high and, as a result, the ball skids along the ground or has a low flat trajectory. By placing the TopperStopper directly over the ball, you can be assured that your club head will swing down through the ball.

Shanking occurs when the club hosel strikes the ball. By placing the TopperStopper directly over the ball, the golfer is encouraged to move the club head back to avoid hitting the TopperStopper.

Slicing can occur when the swing path of the club travels from an outside-in direction often leaving the club face in an open position. By placing the TopperStopper sightly behind the ball, you are ensuring a proper takeaway, approach, and impact.

Follow Through

Directional

Hooking can occur when the swing path of the club travels from an inside-out direction. By placing the TopperStopper sightly ahead of the ball, the club will impact the ball but then continue on a correct follow through.

Swing Plane is the path a club head travels from takeaway to follow through. Using the TopperStopper defines an appropriate swing plane. Turn the TopperStopper wedge to point in the direction you wish to hit the ball.
